Ever Changing Faces of Life

When we were young infants
We trusted a lot
Our partially developed brain
Took so many risks, yet survived!
Threw caution into the wind
Yet, had few or no repercussions!
We were in control of things..
Overtly or covertly
people pandering to our changing moods
literally like the zombie movies
Oh! we damn powerful..
More like a demi god
As we attained full maturity...
Like Chinua Achebe's best seller,
'Things Fell Apart'
For the center can no longer hold it
Crisis everywhere..
The betrayals from friends...
Jealousy amongst Kinsmen.
There was no forewarning to this!
How can we return to that previous nature
When we acted matured,
Even under the skin of neophytes
when we never took things personal..
no attack nor counterattack
Forgiving and forgetting all wrongdoings
Come to think of it..
There was nothing like good or evil to us..
I leave you all to ponder on..
The complexities of human nature..
The good, The bad and The Ugly..
