In the age of modernity,
Where technology reigns supreme,
There lies an evil hidden deep
That haunts us like a waking dream.
We are connected, yet so far apart,
Our screens our only guide,
Our bodies may be close in space,
But our souls, they often hide.
We seek the truth, but find deceit,
Our voices drowned by lies,
We yearn for love, but find deceit,
Our hearts wither and die.
We've lost the touch of nature's grace,
We've traded it for steel and glass,
We've built a world of endless waste,
And now we're trapped in our own mass.
Our greed has taken over us,
And blinded us to what is real,
Our lust for power, wealth and fame,
Has left us with an empty feel.
We must break free from this cycle,
And learn to live with empathy,
For only then can we be saved,
From the evil of modernity.
