I close my eyes so I can see you like it was just this morn' I was there.
Yet, I know I was never there.
For it was just a trick of my mind, so I keep my eyes close so I can be within your arms all the more.
I go back and look through our writings,
Ohhh what stories we told.
How we crafted and weaved our future,
Holding each till throughout eternity.
I never want to open my eyes again for I know they'll be playing a trick on me.
You will not there I will have to go back through our writings or our pictures.
Such as I've done so many times before,
I'm going to keep my eyes closed to keep you near,
For you are always in my heart now I can always see you,
With my eyes closed.
