when I close my eyes,
I see your gaze,
I see your face,
the way it lights up,
the way you smile,
the dimplecheeks,
when I close my eyes,
I am happy to have you,
even just for a few,
I am at peace.
when I close my eyes,
I see you covered in blood,
the once good lad,
dead to the ground.
when I close my eyes,
I see you gone for good,
and all I have a these memories.
