Failure Is My Success

"Failure Is My Success"

I failed my family by being a recluse..
I failed my church, feeling like tradition crippled my use..
I failed at relationships, compassion over-hyped me every time..
I failed at integrity, demons are on their grind..
I failed at college, after one semester, surrendered my degree..
I failed at driving, totalled the front-end & excluded all the blame on me..
I failed as a young father, I wanted the child dead so I could live..
I failed as a thug, acting like a grown kid..
I failed the artists, because of creative differences..
I failed at the shows, I wanted the spirit of God in the atmosphere of all premises..
I failed opportunities to make more money..
"I'm not a business man. I'm a business, man." & these writtens that bleed from me..
I failed at my job as a dining-service attendant..
Day-dreaming during shifts, working to the best of my remembrance..
I failed the university I serve..
No promotion obtained, just a certificate with words..
But I also failed to not try, because I believed I could rhyme..
I failed at suicide because I believed in the son of the living God..
I failed to fully give up, formed out of the miry clay..
I failed to be absolutely gone & forgotten, I am here today..
I failed at being paralyzed, still putting ink on the page..
I failed at getting killed, I won't blink at the gauge..
I failed to end my career, inspiration held up my tears..
The grace & mercy of God was a "Lay-Z-Boy Stretcher", pardoning exaggerations & erasing my fears..
Use your imagination as these literary measures roll down my eyes..
For I have failed to believe that the LORD will pass me by.
