*We never swam in the ecstasy of luck,
Misfortune weighed heavily on my back.
With flaming swords we warred against the mighty one,
All dead, now here I am crawling, lords by my side there are none.
Fallen, accompanied by a song to remind me I'm forsaken
Irrelevant, helpless and broken!
The gray, forlorn, barren and windy land
Is my home; somebody hold my hand.
The distant horizons light up under flashes of lightning
Gaping mouth, spewing insolence, bold and frightening!
Come my precious, let me hold you in my arms,
A sweet artifact to grace my waning palms.
Let me gaze on you with broken windows to my empty soul,
A soul that wriggles and swirls in agony
Reaching in vain for perfected harmony.
No one to worship, no one to serve
I wander these waste lands with righteous roads unpaved.
Be my companion, sweet and unholy
A cursed object that seems lowly
As sins crawl under my skin
Towards the desecrated throne clad in sin.
Help me stand because my wings just flap and falter
As I crawl away from the blood by our indiscriminate slaugter!
