She swallowed all the pain he gave her but drowned herself in sadness.
Her life was one big mess,
Nothing ever added up
She gave up on love.
Now dwelling in her own fallen tears,
She ate up her fears,
She realized the only way to get ahead,
Is to drown the promises he fed.
So she walked the next steps alone,
And accepted the mistakes she owned.
Trying to walk through the pain,
In the down pour heavy rain.
Whatever happened, she had her dignity to keep.
A big step ahead, to leap,
She knew the words of wisdom, but still kept to herself.
At last, this was what her life was about.
