Falling for the Wrong Ones

By Simeon Austin David Pangu
I keep falling for the wrong people,
It's a pattern hard to break,
I convince myself that they're different,
But it's a risk I always take.
Their charm and sweet promises,
Are like a siren's song to me,
And in my heart, I know I shouldn't,
But their pull is hard to flee.
I tell myself that this time it's different,
That I can change them or make them see,
But the truth is, they're not the one for me,
No matter how much I wish it to be.
It's a cycle that keeps repeating,
And the heartbreak never seems to end,
But I'll keep searching for the right one,
Until I find a love that can truly mend.
I know I deserve someone who loves me,
For who I am, flaws and all,
And though the road may be long and winding,
I won't settle for anything small.
So I'll learn from my mistakes,
And keep moving forward with hope,
That one day I'll find the one,
Who will help me to learn and grow.
