Falling short of his glories here we stand.
Reading the Bible, the ghost to know...
My Lord, your God, our Father & the Savior of all men.
Created us & everything, knowing that we would fall to sin.
But our God knows where we are & we've been.
& fashioned our lives & days, when yet there were none.
All in anticipation of our savior, His only begotten Son.
For he wanted to share the love & spread the wealth.
Which is eternal good fortune & health
Falling short of His glories, here we stand.
Reading the Bible, the stories held in our hand.
& through it we have come to know...
For thousands of years,our Heavenly Father showed us unmerrited favor & love.
& eventually choose to dwell among men; descending from His throne above.
To be born of virgin birth & be lifted up & denied by his own.
For only He could fulfil these & He alone.
Prophecies prophesied from Genesis to Malachi.
That gave us the choice to live in Him or eternally die.
& we must not forget even this.
That an action of love, became betrayal with a kiss.
So falling short of his glories, here we stand.
Reading the Bible, the stories held in our hand.
& through it we have come to know...
That if the fulfillment of word & sacrifice can not sway our mind.
Then we're of a generation that will live & die forever blind.
For His attributes are clearly seen in all that is made; so we are without excuse.
So to ignore the obvious is to tighten the noose.
Still falling short of His glories, here we stand.
Reading the Bible the stories held in our hand. & through it we are taught how to love.
& stand firm in Christ our life when push Come to shove.
For Christ our life is to love & love is time, but the best time to love is now.
& that's why our God shows us how.
Yes....! We have & are falling short
That's why we lean not to our own understanding & seek God for support.
