Favorite Place
Someone's favorite place is warm and nice;inviting. Someone's favorite place is always good. You say, in my arms, is your favorite place. That it's warm and nice and has that sense of home. You said*. I was your favorite place. The one you could never replace. I'll never know what changed. Was it the look on your face, or the words I can't erase. Maybe the veins I'll never trace. You called me your Goldilocks. Not to hot. not to cold, but just right. You said I was your favorite place. But like you always say, "your favorite place can never change". So I'm left hanging in the in-between where you've discarded me. Because of what you said. "You are forever my favorite place".
