At one point
I gave up searching.
Tired of the games,
the teasing and flirting.
I began to doubt
if you were even real.
Began to doubt myself
and the way I feel.
Deep within my heart
I knew you were there.
Although all my waiting
had taken me nowhere.
At one point...
I stopped caring and forgiving.
Convinced myself that life
without you, wasn't worth living.
I know how that sounds,
but I lost track of the years.
The cold lonely nights,
and the endless sea of tears.
Forgive me my love,
don't mean to drop this on you.
There's no way you could know
the hell my heart has put me thru.
At one point...
my vision got hazy.
My friends all laughed,
and said I was crazy.
Though I felt broken,
and all faith was gone.
The vision of you...
kept me pushing on.
And there you are,
and here I am.
Your beauty shining
upon this broken man.
