It is now February thirteenth I'm happy to say

Warmer weather and the snow is slowly melting

And did you know tomorrow is Valentine's day ?

Did you buy your mate something tempting?

I've noticed there are many birthdays this week

I counted ten from friends and family , a few today

A couple of my friends from the USA , it's so neat ,

Both of their mother's are celebrating birthdays

My friend from outside town has his day on Monday

Another friend has four family members celebrating

There are four with birthdays next week she did say

So many people getting older , to me it's fascinating

A day they are a year older, a year wiser , a year it's been

Family and friends gather together along to reminisce

For younger ones they look forward to cake and ice cream

Older folks crave the beer, liquor or the champagne fizz

February, this is the month of love , caring and of passion

To let your crush know that they are the one you think of

Or to tell your spouse you love them on a bed of satin

Spending time together and behaving just like two doves

A time to remember that special person that's in your life

Or to reveal to that one lucky soul that you admire them

Valentine's day is a day of love and respect , a day it thrives

To show you care for them and would do it all over again
