It's almost ten in the morning

It snowed a bit over night I see

I'm standing outside right now

There is a gusty cold breeze

Trucks , cars and vans go by

Off to their destinations quick

It's sitting right at zero celsius

The roads are slippery and slick

I stepped inside for a minute

The wind is so chilly out there

I will go back out soon I think

Not long , since it's freezing air

I am writing this indoors now

But just until I need a cigarette

Then I will return back out there

But only for maybe ten minutes

More snow is forecast for today

I went out for a smoke just now

After I was done I came back in

I seen salt spread down by a plow

Winter is beautiful at times yes

But some days are unbearable

The days that are pretty to see

Make up for days that are terrible

A soft glisten from the sun in snow

Is so lovely when you see the sparkle

The crunch of snow when you walk

It just makes you feel so comfortable

Eerie silence in the middle of the night

No flies , ants , bees or insects , that

Normally would crawl along the grass

They all hibernate , sit inside and chat

Time to put this story to a rest I think

That's my sign to say that I am done
