Four seasons of love
I've been in love
I've fallen apart,
I've seen the stars
I've tasted the grounds
With love I've been to heaven,
But love also made me regret living,
There is no such thing as perfect,
But love once made me see perfection,
Twisted mind inside confused emotional at times
With in the same breath joyful I felt just being around her presence I felt like her present I was wrapped up like a gift from heaven but Satan came to the party and spoiled our pleasure.
So here we are seeing each other feels so unpleasant,
What was once sweet is bitter and lethal like acid,
I long for her lips but the aftertaste of past love is so distasteful I can't bare to put myself through such pains and act a fool, memories of us are fading I'm sad and grateful I'm lost for words seems like I became incapable of being loved or loving another.
A way forward you may ask it's one hell of a rough ride,
Clouds over my head are dark,
I see love in a different way these days,
I hold back stay in my lane,
Focused on my today instead of what someone else could add to my life or take away,
I'm defensive and protective
I'm so afraid of loving I placed my heart in a cage,
Its surrounded by a strong fence no wind can blow it away,
To get in one has to kill my brain,
The key is hidden behind my self awareness
You may try to claim my heart one day
But to get to it you might just have to kill me, I know that sounds insane that's how deep I'm hurt though blame the one that broke my heart in so many ways.
