There was a time,
Not too long ago.
When I was drowning in a sea of grief,
I just cried and cried not too long ago.
My hopes were broken,
So was my trust.
My dreams were shattered,
So was my love.
Nobody was there for me,
I lay all alone.
I was feeling blue,
And then came the time.
I understood,
You come alone and will go alone.
I started to live my life my way,
I stopped caring what others would say.
I rose above the sadness,
I realised,
Life contains nothing but clear skies ahead.
I used to think before speaking,
But now I say everything that I am feeling.
Now I stay happy and joyful,
I don't bother what they say.
I live my life to the fullest,
Without worrying me anything.
