Filling

Filling. My emotions were filled to the rim, about to spill over. My head was crowded with voices screaming "give up" or "you're not worth it", and it's hard. They each have a tiny knife, and every time they say their harsh words, I'm given a quick stab to the head. And no, it's not physical pain. I could make it physical but I'm not going to do that to myself. It's all mental pain. The only type of pain that is different from others. The type that makes you feel numb, or like your floating. The only type that can make you want to end it all, just because of one simple thought. But, there something else to it. The pain your feeling isn't your thoughts, it's your mindset. Your mind is a powerful, eventful thing that can do so much yet so little at the same time. Your brain is what controls all of your thought and actions. It's a beautiful thing. Your mindset is something that you can have complete control over, yet it can slip through your fingers so easily. But who doesn't want to be in control, right? I mean, I would like to have the power of what is so endlessly controlling me and my actions. Wouldn't you? So keep this in mind. I'm sure you'd rather you mental health stay in your head, rather than slip away so fast. ~Abigail Douglas
