In the moments between letting go
There lies a journey we seldom show
For no one releases love in a snap
It's a countless release, like an intricate trap
At the grocery store, a favorite soup lies
Yet we resist, let go with a sigh
In the bathroom, a scent brings back trace
So we discard, let go with grace
In bars, we seek temporary embrace
To let go again, our hearts' steady pace
On anniversaries, we mourn and reflect
Letting go once more, with profound respect
It's not a weakness, this endless release
Rather, it's proof that within lies peace
Moving forward, foot on both brake and gas
We release, we accelerate, as moments pass
No failure it is, to still feel a void
When we reach heights, where dreams are alloyed
The bad and the good, a delicate dance
Leaving scars, bringing change, in life's advance
Time reveals balance, it evens the way
In losses and gains, both night and day
For the past guides, it does not define
Our strength in overcoming, a light that shines
So I crafted love amidst raging storms
And nurtured flowers where rainfall performed
Under a sky devoid of vibrant bow
I searched for blessings, and they came somehow
Through this journey, the storms did subside
And the path felt smaller, far less wide
Until the day arrived, in radiant glow
When the love we desired, finally did bestow.
