My heart began to cry
But there were no tears
Yet, there was such an aching.
Then, I felt your presence
Closer than ever before,
What a shift,
You talked to me
The whole night through,
You took me to another realm;
And at times, I'd feel you gently
Nudging me each time I fell asleep.
You stayed with me past the dawn
Continuing your conversation.
Reminding me of your infallible
Word in Psalm. 138 verse7,
' Though I walk in the midst
Of trouble, thou wilt revive me:
Thou shalt stretch forth thine
Hand against the wrath of thine
Enemies, and Thy right hand shall
Save me."
O the awe of finding the rhythm
Of Your heartbeat to feel you so near,
Hearing Your Word with clarity,
Revealing Your truth.
Empowering me with boldness to speak,
Do and be in synchrony with Your will
And purpose for my life.
Finding the rhythm of Your heartbeat
Is to really live, move and breathe in You
O Lord.
