The first time we met,
My gaze on her face dwelt,
Her charms in my heart havoc wrecked,
I tried to find my voice to praise,
But I couldn't, for the first time my tongue failed.
When her gaze on my face fell,
The clock stopped ticking,
And seemed in the moment frozen,
I tried myself to recollect,
But I couldn't help it, first time my brain malfunctioned.
Her beauty my soul touched,
My feelings and emotions knelt,
The world around became silent,
But I couldn't hide it,
The sound of my racing heart evident.
With her smile my heart jumped,
My rib cage too weak for the effect,
Blood to my head gushed,
A sudden fever catched,
A doctor! but couldn't bail myself out.
