I would wander through the Narnia of jewels
Pondering on why my grandad had quite so many tools
This shed is a never ending wardrobe of decisions
Little delights each day picked with precision
A hoarder he was, a good one at that
A caravan too, you'd need a hard hat
All of this though is not why he was great
His independence was his biggest trait
A man of his age, roaming around so freely
Not stuck in a cage, the harbours where he'd be!
Where he belonged for so many years
A fishermans life I can see through my tears
A perfect example of a great man to me
He was my grandad, in my thoughts hell always be
Another gone peacefully, always the best
Ever so difficult though for all the rest
We'll never forget you, you made me believe
That nothings impossible, enjoy your shore leave
Goodbye grandad
