I'm desperately searching
For a sense of belonging
But I just can't fit in
Is it cause of my sin
Standing out like a sore thumb
Sure has got me numb
I need a place where I feel I belong
Maybe there I'll sing my happy song
They say there's a place for me
A place where I will be free
But thus far I searched in vain
I'm really going insane
Maybe I wasn't born to fit in
Or follow someone else's plan
Guess it's time I draw my own map
And follow it step by step
