Flash of a Life in Love.

As fate would have it, it finally happened,
I made eye contact with a goddess, true.
Her brown eyes of amber,
Had connected with mine of ocean blue.

For a moment, the world had seemed to stop,
Within touching distance were we two.
I could smell her perfume permeate,
I could almost place my lips upon you.

Your dark brown hair fell perfect,
The way you froze threw my heart into a rage.
In that brief moment we were connected,
Trapped within times loving cage.

Then in slow motion it did happen,
You turned away to stare at the floor.
I could hear your pace count quicken,
I caught a glimpse of you leave the door.

And there I stood like a deer in headlights,
Bewildered by the flash of a life in love.
But you left me here, this raven,
And flew away gracefully; my sweet dove.
