Flaws

Sometimes I feel imperfect
Matter of fact, I am.
Sometimes I hate what I see when I look in the mirror
My eyes not as beautiful
My nose doesn't suit my face, I think
My legs not as great when they move
Wait a second, am a bundle of perfect imperfection.
A look in God's mirror makes me see how hard I try to patch things up
Often, my ways don't match his Holy Word
That isn't a flaw; it's sin.
Born in sin; was no choice of mine
But dying a sinner is the ultimate decision I must refuse to make.
Sometimes, I get unsure
And in disbelief I say words not worth my breath.
He sees both beyond my physical flaws and my sins
The words he speaks pierces my heart like an arrow.
Sometimes, the noise from the world swallow up that small still voice inside.
His love so pure and true
Picked me up from the dungeon of despair
He looked beyond my flaws
My soul to him is worth more than gold.
That's why he looked beyond my flaws and give his life just for me.
Now I've been sealed by his blood,
Delivered to sit in heavenly places
My prayers fervent and avail much
Who would have thought
That I'd be made whole and restored.
I am in his eyes a flawless being because he sees me through his precious blood.
