Flicker Of A Dying Heart

Flicker of my past,
Flashes of what's no more,
Sparkles falling faint,
As embers rest cold in their pits,
Whats left of Flames that used to score,

Cold bleeds the warm air,
Flames once fueled hot,
No crackle left in the coals,
That once made you feel warm,
Just ashes left behind in its spot,

No dancing lights,
To illuminate within the dark,
Just memories of that old fire,
That used to burn within your heart,
Now just failed flickers without its spark.

The burning in your heart is gone.
And the ashes have covered it in gray.
I'm sorry your fire has blown away.
