There's no value
In obtaining wealth,
If all you think about
Is only yourself.
You may be able to move
as undetectable as stealth,
But, it can not provide
A loving heart's health.
Money can't keep you
warm through the night,
Yes, it can pay the bill
That gives heat and light.
But, it will never be able
To hold you so tight,
Money is not capable
To love you just right.
Don't be sidetracked
By what doesn't matter,
Loving money will only
Cause you to shatter.
If money is your only focus
Your soul will be tattered,
It wont glue back the pieces
That you've torn up and scattered.
I'd rather put my trust
In God to provide,
He'll do what He says
Because, He never lied.
He faithfully ensures
Your needs are supplied,
He'll give you what you ask
When His name is applied.
