Gets better as time goes on
And that might be true but not for me

Memories I thought were gone

When you think you've found the peace you've longed for
It finds a way to be thought of
Forever doesn't mean always
But always is forever
The things you thought that you'd escaped
Will always come back as problems
I hold myself and cry at night
For the diminished progress I've made
But I know full well that something inside me
Has reason to hold onto the pain
Maybe progress isn't constant
But a wavy line to ride
And maybe pain doesn't go away
But gets easier with time
