But somewhere deep inside, a small voice began to stir,
Whispering gently, urging me to explore and to search for more.
I slowly started questioning my beliefs and my doubts,
Realizing that my ignorance was what was holding me back from the route.
I picked up the Bible, dusted off its forgotten pages,
And with open mind and heart, I delved into its ancient wisdom and stages.
Verse by verse, the words came alive, illuminating my soul,
Revealing a love and grace that I had never known before.
The Holy Spirit, once nameless and distant, became my constant guide,
Leading me through life's trials, always standing by my side.
Prayer and fasting were no longer a burden, but a cherished way,
To connect with God, to find solace and strength in each passing day.
Slowly, I began to understand the devotion of the faithful,
Their hearts so pure, their love for God so beautiful.
No longer did I feel disgust, but admiration deep within,
For their unwavering faith and the peace that it did bring.
The pastor's sermons, once sounding dull and dry,
Became a wellspring of inspiration, making my spirit fly.
Sunday classes became a sanctuary, a place to learn and grow,
To deepen my understanding and let God's truth overflow.
No more did I long to skip church and stay home,
For I had found a home within those walls, a place to freely roam.
It was through these experiences, through my own transformation,
That I realized the beauty of faith, the power of salvation.
So now as I reflect back on those days filled with disdain,
I am grateful for the journey, the lessons learned, the gain.
For I have come to know the true joy that belief can bring,
And I am forever grateful for the grace that made my heart sing.
