In the haunting night, the ghost appears
Its presence bringing terror and fears
Through the shadows it glides, unseen
Whispering echoes, to make you keen
A ghostly figure, translucent and pale
Its essence, a chilling and haunting tale
Eyes, empty voids, devoid of life
Provoking nightmares, causing endless strife
It lurks in corners, unseen, yet felt
Its presence, a shiver that makes hearts melt
Its voice, a hollow moan through the night
Sending shivers, cold and full of fright
The ghostly touch, a chilling caress
Leaving behind a mark of distress
A specter from the depths, trapped in-between
Ethereal creature, forever unseen
In the darkest hour, when all is still
The ghostly essence causes a chill
Fear not the phantoms that linger near
For in the end, they too shall disappear.
