Lord, forgive me for my sins
I was blinded by the finest of the materialistic things
Fell in love with the shining and glistening chains and diamond rings
Thinking outrageous like you ain't ever help me out in any of this
How was I ever so young, dumb and hopeless
I should have noticed that it's cause of you that I'm so blessed
I must confess that I have been a weak man
Let's not pretend that I wasn't lustfull
Influenced by the devil and tempted by the body of woman
Looking into their eyes with the wrong intention
You tried to pull on me but I wasn't paying any attention
Who am I, thinking I was made with perfection
Not realising that my heart was in need of some protection
I failed to realize that I was a part of satans personal collection
All these wicked traits like greed, lust and hate were just leading me to my own destruction
Dear lord will you show me some mercy cause this shouldn't be part of my fate
I wanna be saved and Lord, I can no longer wait
You put your hand onto my soul and the message is now made clear
That no matter where I'm at you're still near
I've been a liar and a theif, a sinner full of grife
I put my hands up and say "I surrender"
I remamber how it felt when I had dropped onto my knees
A feeling of relife when I let out my breath like you were in my presents
Everyday I send a prayer into the sky waiting for an answer
Lord have mercy, Jesus Christ
My souls tired and I hope you feel like I have payed my price
I was lost and confused scratching my head like I had lice
I was listening to what the devil had to say for way to long
He always had me feeling like I couldn't ever do no wrong
I never payed attention that he was playing me as a fool all along
Lord have mercy cause I got to admit that i'm not that strong
Anybody who questions my change won't understand why
Either you with it and stay or bounce out of my life
I don't need no negativity affecting my energy
I pray for my blessings, you pray in case of an emergency
We are not the same can you feel that energy
You cab put me down and speak low of me
You talking but are you saying anything
I'ma changed man and if you leave then you were never part of the plan
Lord I must pray and say thank you for forgiving me for my sins
