We claimed to be civilized but none show
How can we be civilized and still dress like the uncivilized?
Fourteen centuries ago babies were buried alive
Now we slay them before they come to life
We made human carnages and call it clinics
Fourteen centuries ago, we say they are ignorant;
Now their lifestyle is what we mimic
We prevent babies from being born
But we can't prevent the booming of the gun
We are living dead lives
We live with the truth and believe in lies
We are living corpses waiting to die
We blame the fragrance of peace
When our noses only smell wars.
