Fractured Depiction

Fractured Depiction

It’s as if I’m staring

at a fractured depiction of myself,

while standing on thin ice

as it begins to melt.

Yelling for somebody—

but it’s me, so why help?

I never really did care too much

about my health,

or even the way I felt.

I’m trying to support

the weight of the world,

and it’s getting kind of heavy.

Trying to prepare for battle

with my demons—

but I’m not ready.

I hate the man in the mirror.

That is okay

if it helps me to see clearer.

I try my best only to prosper,

waiting for my karma—

I know I can’t stop her.

I’m diligent with every step I take.

I don’t open up—

I’m cautious.

Because people f*** you over

in an instant—

it makes me nauseous.

F*** you and the nonsense,

that s***’s atrocious.

You act like I don’t notice,

but know this—

I know it all.

I might stumble,

but I will not fall.

I’m fighting a battle

between me and my demons.

I isolate myself

for my own personal reasons.

Time passing by

can’t keep up with the seasons.

Pushing everyone away

because I can’t love myself.

Always depressed—

s*** ain’t good for my health.

Now I’m back on the streets

with nowhere to go.

So many things bothering me,

but the expressions won’t show.

Because I hide my pain,

I bottle it deep inside me.

My feelings mean a lot to me—

I don’t take them lightly.

Still don’t know

why my grandma don’t like me.

How much more can I take?

Got some so-called friends,

but most of them are fake.

I’m going through hell,

and I’ve got no one beside me.

No one to lean on—

I guess I’m a loner.

I might be.
