Where can I be free
a place where the world doesn't control
or try to define me
where can I burst into laughter
from a joke so funny that I won't be given pills to sedate me
where can I cry to wet my cheeks
without getting napkins or told not to let anyone see
where can I dance and fall with a glass of wine
to the sound of drums that others cant hear
without being chained to bed thinking I would escape or putting myself in danger because it's all in my head
What can I eat without being told of its nutritive value
without hearing
its too fatty or it just too sweet
Where do I belong if its not in the streets
because that's where no one cares
That's the place
