not the way you claimed
because if you did
if you loved me
you'd be ashamed
you'd never treat me
like I was worthless
or a toy to be replaced
you'd never have changed
or started avoiding me
you just lied to my face.
I think you wanted to
tried to love me
but your past got in the way
it's hard to be in love
when you still love someone
still stuck in yesterday
so it shouldn't hurt me
not really
because your love was never real
but mine was
and still is.
I just hate the way this feels.
