FREEDOM

That my cast ain't a crime,
That plodding along the streets of the Indies won't incur a fine,
Knowing that I don't need to be encysted to produce my intentions,
that my words won't lead me to a life detention,
That I wouldn't be cheated on,
When I can also enjoy incarceration that won't take away my breath,
Knowing that lying cos the truth is thick wouldn't be the wherefores of my arrest,
That the rights reserved for the people living in a cosmopolitan country wouldn't obey Maslow's hierarchy,
Knowing that my complexion can also be given the amnesty,
is what as a negro, I call FREEDOM.
