friend or foe

In a realm of trust we tread with care,
Seeking solace, friendships to bear,
But alas, a truth we oft ignore,
The enemy's loyalty, a hidden lore.
We dance with foes in shadows' cloak,
Their intentions veiled like misty smoke,
For in their hearts, a code embraced,
To honor their words, so staunchly based.
Betrayal dwells not within their guise,
Ironic twist, caught by surprise,
While whispers spread among the kin,
Their twisted envy, a venom within.
Bound by blood and familial ties,
They dance with wickedness, worn as disguise,
But when the tides of life turn grim,
The closest tear the soul within.
Enemies may cunning whispers align,
Building walls with trust so fine,
Yet in their hearts, truth does reside,
For loyalty blooms, a steadfast guide.
Amidst the chaos, foes doth unveil,
A hidden strength, their foes they impale,
While friends and kin, like serpents curl,
Their treachery bleeds, a twisted whirl.
For enemies, their intentions laid bare,
Their loyalties found, rare and so fair,
A paradox, as our hearts unfurled,
Their dearest foes, protect the pearl.
So seek not solace in a close embrace,
For kin and friends may leave a trace,
Of insidious thoughts, deceit so deep,
The enemy's loyalty, a promise to keep.
Trust not the face of old and kin,
But embrace your foes, let trust begin,
For in adversities, they'll remain,
The ones who mend, through fire and flame.
Enemies, the truest allies, it seems,
A fragile bond, like unspoken dreams,
So let go of doubts, judgments erstwhile,
Embrace the enemy, a loyal smile.
