Frozen in Memory

Frozen in Memory
The night is bone-deep cold—despair a weight that squeezes my lungs
Here I am, tracing every crack where we once stood as one
Heavy raindrops drill into my skin like shards of our goodbye
I claw to feel the pain we left behind—let it flood me, let it rise
I want to chase the blazing light we shared before it faded slow
The kind that lit up every dark corner where we used to grow

The scars still burn like open wounds—they’ve never truly healed
I screamed into the silence: why did our love start to kneel?
So many things tore through us—lies, pride, and words we never said
They piled up like sharp stones until our ground began to shed

So for one last time, I stare down every ghost we left behind
Let memory crash over me—a tidal wave I can’t rewind
But I know when this storm breaks, I’ll find my feet again at last
No more begging why or how—I’ll silence every question cast

Moving on is the final, searing goodbye—clean and hard and true
I’ll lay down every thing I lived for when I was with you
I’ll start anew—my hands unclenched, my heart stripped bare and bright
When dawn rips through the dark and wipes your shadow from my sight...🌘✨01212026
