Here in lies my dilemma,
A quagmire of thoughts and intents seeking expression,
My mind getting the best of me,
A secluded portion...yearning for a release,
Like a little child straining to catch a glimpse of light,
The wounded child in me seeks respite.
Hate to feel sorry for myself
But the me in me is teary-eyed,
We're all here yearning for what no one else can give,
Maybe a gift from a celestial Being;
One who perhaps understands the many tears, pains and struggles within,
One who hears the muffled screams,
Who while securely scooping me into His arms,
Says the very much needed “it's gonna be okay"
The sun doesn't always shine,
And there may be periods of really long rains...
Where hearts are shut out in the cold with no mortal to turn to...
Despite all, I know that You and none other
Have the soothing tunes that turns the clock of my heart.
It's all I'll cleave to.. till I see you again.
