The perfect amount of light

Focusing now on the question why?
Why did this happen?
How was I so lucky?
Without rhyme or reason
The questions consumed me
Until I saw you from a different view
Only then did it become so simple

As I gazed at you, looking past I saw
The white wings jutting from your back
Holding you tightly, you spoke like air, lightly
Before I could make it clear
My eyes opened wide
And from them fell tears
Before the end of my gentle dreaming
I fell to my knees asking kindly
In my arms wrapped so tightly
Could you love me for the rest of eternity?
As I woke to the suns light
And the early morning dew
I took a look and saw a lovely view
The sun shining through
Showing your transparent wings
Smiling, you opened your eyes
Showing her reflection in mine
In a hushed tone
You whispered a word
A tear fell from my eye
When I heard
