This morning I awoke early
So God's Holy Word I could read
I like to read the promises
Of what I may one day need,
If in His Son you do believe
You can live life forever
By His blood from past sins your freed
Worrying about death... never,
Of great prophets I read
Jeremiah I savour
So much for God he went through
In God's eye's he met favour,
When I read the minor prophets
I enjoy Joel and Haggai
They said so little yet so much
A few tears come to mine eye,
This morning I awoke early
So God's Holy Word I could read
Within it's pages I can find
Nuggets of wisdom I need.
