God’s Plan
I lived
I loved
I failed
I’ve been up
Yet felt so down
The ground began to get hot
And like a caterpillar I wanted badly to transform
But, sometimes life has its way of making you see
A reflection of you
And how far you’ve come
Most importantly
How far you have to go
But, isn’t that what life is?
Molting the skin to make room for the next version of yourself
Knowing that the person
You meet at the finish line
Will be all the different versions
Of yourself that you left behind
So, no more missteps
No more decline
I bend the knee to God
I accept him full time
My 5-year plan
Is all that’s on my mind
I loosen this bind
And break through confines
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th impressions
The story of my grind
I’m not your typical poet
But, welcome to my mind
So, I draw the line
Against negativity
A stance of proclivity
For love
Time has
And time is
My time
Your time has come
You will be better
Then the day before
No longer the results
Of propaganda
And proposition
I looked to the most high
For my disposition
If I’m the QB
Then God is the Lombardi
Of this expedition
I’ve found me again
Back to the basics
Off the bench-end
I’ve healed
And I’m about to get one hell of a stretch in
