Goneness
Three days of hiking
Through bush and forest
His trip is exhausting
Rations are depleting
Water is at a minimum
He needs to be eating
His journey is exciting
But sacrifices made
Behind he left belongings
At home he was fighting
Friends and relatives
He always felt like dying
He left his home crying
Where could he go
He headed east sighing
To stay somewhere thriving
Somewhere new for him
Soon he will be arriving
Two more days of walking
Then he can finally rest
One more night exploring
In his head it's taunting
His goneness took its toll
His travels are daunting
