In the dark
I saw a spark
then it just fizzled out
then a bright flash turn me about
there way up high
in the night sky
there was a light
that was shinning bright
It was a falling star that lit up the sky
saying its goodbyes
it amazed me as i watched it fall
and hit that old brick wall
it was not a very big star at all
in fact it was very small
it was only 6 inches tall
and round as a ball
it had no arms legs or head
i tried to pick it up but it was heavy as lead
it was still glowing but it was cold as ice
suprise i was i checked it twice
then the ground shook with all its might
and the star vanished from my sight
old star that shined in the night
it is now time to rest
you were the best
you may have been small
But you were the brightest of them all
its time for me to say goodbye
i wish you the best. as i close my eyes
i will dream of how bright
you were in sky at night
it will keep me from harm
