My dear friends, I have a message to share,
Of the nature of life, and how we must dare,
To embrace the good things, but not be naive,
For nothing lasts forever, as hard to believe.
The laughter of children, the warmth of the sun,
The joy of success when a battle is won,
These moments are precious, they light up our days,
But all things must end, in their own separate ways.
We hold on so tightly, we don't want to let go,
Of the love that we cherish, the joy that we know,
But time keeps on moving, and change is the rule,
We can't stop the tide, or the hands that will pull.
So let's treasure each moment, hold on while we can,
But also make peace with the life's shifting plan,
For new joys will come, as the old ones depart,
And the cycle of life will continue to start.
It's the bittersweet truth of our earthly sojourn,
That the things that we love, in due time will adjourn,
But in knowing this fact, we can learn to let be,
And find hope in the new things that we soon will see.
So let's take a deep breath, and release our tight grasp,
Of the things that will fade, in time's flowing clasp,
For in letting them go, we make space for the new,
And find strength in our hearts, for the journey we'll pursue.
May we cherish the present, with all of its splendor,
And trust in the future, though unseen and tender,
For good things may not last, as we wish they could do,
But new blessings will come, for me and for you.
