I remember those days when I sat
on the laps of the greatest story teller around
on a summer afternoon
grandma's stories were so cool
she told me how mischievous my mom was
just like me
and how she fell off the mango tree.
she didn't obey and she didn't listen
and on nights she lay under the sheets of skies that glisten.
grandma told me stories
and taught me at bad times dare no worries
there's a miracle at the end.
then she would kiss my forehead
and tuck me soundly into bed.
