Emotional pain truly hurts
physically in your chest cavity
when you're forced to accept
reality upon the tragedy of
losing a loved one with the
thought they're actually gone
although I never knew the
agony until recently when I
saw my grandmother looking
at me through the eyes of my
mom as she told me Grammy
loved you very much and she
never failed to mention how
proud she was to have such a
thoughtful grandson with a
heart big enough to love
everyone beyond unbelievable
measure and unfortunately it's
moments like that when it's
hard to stay strong and keep it
together as your heart breaks
upon not wanting to hug your
own mother for the first time
ever because you can't fathom
saying goodbye to your
grandmother whose precious
image will live on through her
beautiful daughter forever
