A lag in delay of time.
A time capsel from a child to an adult.
I blink and it was gone.
My childhood gone in a glimpse.
Playing a role I was not made for.
A child like heart to be lost as the days go on.
My eyes to watch. A life I had to let go.
Friends living, and laughing.
Forgotten me they have.
Days to pass unspoken words.
Playing this role that I despise.
Detest the cards that had been dealt.
Disgusted by a choice I was not given.
Stepping in a world I was not ready for.
I didn't understand why I had too.
Why I had to be a parent to my siblings.
Why my parents could never grow up.
Why I had to provide in a world I was not ready for.
I was a child forced to survive.
Barely making it.
Friends to be lost they couldn't understand.
The parties that I missed.
The life I was not ready for.
Being a child to a mother I detest.
I miss so much.
I missed being able to find myself.
While I lended a hand.
My tears to flood, my heart to ache.
If only they could see.
