All happened like a blink of an eye
Without trepidation I and my bro would always want to be free to make decisions
Then, it came to us surreptitiously when we weren't prepared for it
Like a thief, it came, a thief that came to steal and to destroy
Took away our most cherished precious gem
I remember... Hmm!
I remember those innocent teenagers days, where and when we have nothing to worry about in our heart
I remember when my grand dad would tell me how he used to buy a huge cow for twenty five naira only
I remember when I would read on calendars of years ahead and get myself lost in my allusion of what is so called "I want to be this in the future"
In this same country?
My brother, whenever I look back to those days, I do tell myself now that "dey play, just dey play"...
In a country that sees the unjust as just?
In a country where the teenager are now adults?
In a country where the child has become the father of his parents?
In a country that lays ahead like a tiger, waiting in ambush to cut-short people's gigantic dreams?
I pray God help the grown up teenagers!
