Waking in the early morning light
Feeling like she had only been asleep for seconds
heart heavy
She threw off the covers
slowly taking stock of what the day would bring
Not untill later that morning
did her heart revive
whilst walking in the garden
she did spy
a purple crocus
breaking through the dark soil
if it could...
so could she
survive
