Hail and Clay

I see your smile through the open doors,
This was suppose to be a sacred place,
The wings fall off and spread into the sea,
Is this even enough?
As you sail past hail and clay,
As we go through hail and clay,
You've said this hole was filled with warmth and love,
Yet the stale taste gives birth to something foul,
You still kept the road apart from us,
What is reason?
I won't drift through the mud,
Through the fire of your flames,
I've said my piece before it gets dark,
The beat pulses and the yellow eyes glow,
Now I fear it's too late to apologize,
What have I done?
Tell me did she steal your heart?
Sinking through the cracks,
The only light is up above,
If it gets much brighter,
Blindly they'll believe,
Underwater lips can't breathe or speak,
Kisses your forehead clear,
So happy one can be,
Dancing through hail and clay...
