All I am, is a halfway house
With door like arms
That engulf broken hearts,
Who seek temporary love.
My halfway house is pretty
With cozy flits of firewood
And daisy fields to lay in
Late at night to watch shooting stars.
All I am, is a halfway house.
One where sad boys take comfort
And join me in making wishes
On stars, flowers and stray sparks.
My halfway house wishes
to be the home at the end of the road
The one where they all go
For it is a mansion and
All I am, is a broken halfway house.
